Part 2 - We are Not Alone

What does it look like to feel completely alone, isolated on an island with no way out, and then discover that the most high God is standing right beside you? That is exactly the situation we find ourselves exploring in Revelation chapter 1, where the apostle John, exiled on the island of Patmos, receives a vision of the glorified, reigning Jesus that changes everything. The central spiritual lesson here is both simple and staggering: we are never alone. No matter what Patmos we find ourselves on, whether it is a health crisis, a financial struggle, a broken relationship, or a season of spiritual isolation, the presence of Jesus is not contingent on our circumstances. The vision John receives is not of a defeated or distant Savior, but of a King whose eyes are like flames of fire, whose voice thunders like rushing waters, and whose face shines like the full strength of the sun. This is the Jesus who walks among his church today. And when John collapses at his feet in awe and fear, Jesus does something breathtaking. He reaches down, places his hand on John, and says simply, fear not. That single moment captures the entire heartbeat of this message. The one who holds all authority and power is also the one who reaches down to comfort the trembling soul. Whatever we are facing, we are invited to see Jesus not as a distant figure from history, but as the living, reigning King who is present with us right now.
