Part 6 - Wake Up Church
What does it mean to be a church that looks alive on the outside but has quietly drifted into spiritual sleep? That is the sobering question at the heart of this message drawn from Revelation chapter 3. Using the church at Sardis as a mirror, we are challenged to look past our reputation and examine the reality of our spiritual condition. Jesus does not evaluate a church by its activity level, its signage, or its community standing. He looks at the heart. The warning is both urgent and tender: even a church that appears dead may still have an ember glowing beneath the ashes, and that ember can be fanned back into a roaring fire. The path forward is not complicated. It is remembering what our faith once felt like, repenting of the drift, and returning to the joy of our first belief. We are also reminded that Jesus is coming again, and that reality should reshape how we live every single day. The question is not whether we attend church or check the religious boxes. The question is whether we are truly awake, truly alive, and truly ready.
