Part 1 - Why Are We Here

This powerful message confronts us with a fundamental question that cuts to the heart of our faith: why are we here? Not just why does our church exist in this community, but why are we individually placed on earth in this moment of history? The answer is both simple and profound—God desires a personal relationship with every human being, and He's chosen to use ordinary people like us to bring others into that transforming relationship. Drawing from John chapter 1, we see Andrew's example of doing what should be natural for every believer: immediately after encountering Jesus, he found his brother Simon and said, 'We have found the Messiah.' This wasn't a theological dissertation or a carefully rehearsed presentation—it was simply sharing what he'd experienced. The message challenges us to examine whether we truly love God enough to obey His call to share the Gospel, and whether we love our neighbors enough to tell them about the only name by which they can be saved. If we have no desire to tell others about Christ, we must honestly ask ourselves if we've truly experienced transformation. The statistics are sobering: even if every Bible-believing church in the area were filled to capacity, tens of thousands would still remain outside, lost and heading toward eternity without Christ. The question isn't whether God has called us to evangelism—Acts 1:8 makes clear that every believer will be His witness when filled with the Holy Spirit. The real question is whether we'll be obedient to that calling in our everyday lives, in our neighborhoods, with our waitresses, our coworkers, and the people we encounter who desperately need to hear that Jesus can transform anyone and everyone.
